I have an irregular crack in my forehead that goes to the back of my head. Problematic? Normal?

It starts over my right temple, extends up into my hairline [not before it branches off into two cracks] and extends allllll the way to the back of my head. The second crack that branches off disappears somewheres. I don't get massive headaches or anything, but is this normal? I've had other people feel it before, and it freaks them right out so I know that it can't be too-too common...perhaps. Also, you can't tell that the crack's there by just looking [meaning that the skin isn't dragged down into it]. Help?

I have an irregular crack in my forehead that goes to the back of my head. Problematic? Normal?
I don't know either but I strongly suggest you get an x-ray. Did you have any head trauma when you were a child that you could be unaware of?

I ask because I have such a "crack" in my own forehead. It's been there forever as far as I knew. Doctors kept finding it and freaking. AS it turns out, when I was six years old I fell off of a bicycle and fell ten feet onto a pile of bricks. Yes, it split the front of my skull like a pumpkin. Kindly, my Mother never felt the need to mention it and to this day I don't remember it at all. Had I known it would have saved me a lot of money in unnecessary medical bills for cat scans and x-rays for a decades old fracture.
Reply:I don't know... you should go and ask you doctor:)
Reply:maybe your *** is on your head
Reply:hm....... it might be a scar. i have on going down my left side of my head by my eye.
Reply:You might want to get a doctor to look at that. He/she may get you an MRI scan of your head to make sure you're okay.
Reply:By crack you mean...wrinkle or crease...right? I hope?

If you're worried, have a doctor check it out. I'm thinking that it's perfectly normal, though. Skin is a weird thing. It does weird things. But it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong.
Reply:I am not a doctor, and I recommend you see one.

As a baby there are spots on your head where the skull has not formed, called fontanels. These fontanels allow for 2 things. One to let a big head squish a tiny bit to make it though birth and the other is the allow for such rapid growth up to 18 months.

Basically the head is not fully formed and is subject to positional molding. It's possible that you frequently slept on one side as a baby and it caused you to have a tiny bit of a ridge from slight misalignment.

Check this for the location of of the "crack" you mentioned.

I dreamt of a camel that was really a horse... and then...?

I dreamt of a camel that was really a horse but i thought it was a camel because of a lump on its back, then looking closer, the lump was actually a second head... it was not fully developed, as i could see the lids sealed closed, but i could see eyes moving underneath... the mouth was also sealed but i could hear noised from it... it was only the skin that was all closed. i could feel the poor little siamese twins despair, no control over any of its life, movements, direction, no freedom.

Not only that, but it could not see or express itself either.

It could only sense, hear muffled noises, feel up to a point...

The day before the night of my dream, I had been to an artists home, she paints horses.

She says she sees people and sees their faces and interprets them in to horses faces. She told me she saw me as a golden horse, with beautiful big eyes....

Then I had this dream. Any thoughts?

I dreamt of a camel that was really a horse... and then...?
When you have a dream, it usually has a connection to something that happened that day or even in your lifetime.

Maybe you watched a show about siamese twins and then saw the horse artsit, that could of triggered your dream. LOL.

It could also be symbolic.

In that case, check how you felt about that dream and describe it, you may come up with a symbolic answer.

You could also even be seeing something that was happening, you could of had a telepathic connection to something that was happening (lets hope to god there wasn't actually a horse stuck in another horse's back!)
Reply:the dream is of you or soemone close to you. you or this person feel 'despair, no control, and cant express yorself' if it is you things will change for the better - if it is another, close to you, you have a duty to help.

I need a change with my hair?

I have long light brown hair (middle of my back), I never cut it or professionally dyed it. It's always pulled back into a ponytail and I don't have a part or bangs.I've had this same style since first grade...I'm a second semester college freshman and it's about time for something new...help with color, cut and style please...I'm very open, however, I would like to keep it long...oh yea I have an oval face and a warm skin tone (kind of tan).

I need a change with my hair?
Make your hair shoulder length and get semi-blunt bangs with different layers everywhere.

Maybe go for a darker brown too.

That would be a really cute edgy/rockstar look if you don't mind looking like that.

BY THE WAY- The bangs should be JUST above your eye or just make contact with your eyelashes so they don't look to young and silly.
Reply:i think you should get layers...not too OMG!..but a nice difference..and you can still keep it long!
Reply:INEED A PIC TO SEE.

:)
Reply:so do i, I'm going for the shave it all off look just like Britney.
Reply:go to a salon and ask a profesional they helped me n i look totall new n fresh
Reply:hmmm bangs with layered hair and some gold/tan highlights. would look cute.
Reply:I would suggest medium length, below your shoulders, with long layers. This way you keep it long, but get rid of the dead ends and add volume. Also, consider getting side bangs.

Good luck!
Reply:Start with a side part, then add some bangs. If you still watn some more change after that, maybe cut off a coule of inches and get it layered.
Reply:first off get a trim to get rid if spilt ends ,, get longer side bangs, and dye it a medium brown hair so a little bit darker than what you have and straighten it , you can use a heat protection spray to keep your hair from getting damaged and lastly try and get some long layers angled around your face that should do it.
Reply:i would suggest that you get keep the same length with long layers get side bangs cut %26amp;%26amp; get like golden %26amp;%26amp; a burgundy color highlights. play around with it and curl it or straighten then crimp it it will look veryyyy cute!
Reply:how about instead cutting it out, why dont you dye it black and make it wavy, that looks great, i hope
Reply:well i am a guy and ya know that we all like blonde, and myself a woman with long hair just drives me crazy i am not a big fan of short hair .This is just my opinion but long blonde curly hair will drive guys crazy i hope this helps some but like i said this is just my opinion
Reply:try straightening it and if u dun want to do that and dun want to dye it just temporarily do highlights (black or blond will be good) or something like that...
Reply:Well, if you dont want to get it done professionally, try getting ideas for yourself. Perhaps curl it or make it wavy. You know, by just changing its look, not the color, it will always make a difference!

I have straight black hair and i hate the way it got cut! I bought curlers and OH MY GOSH! It made such a difference!

I also dyed it with a few light brown highlights an i love how it looks!

GOOD LUCK!
Reply:I know why not shave it all off and act as if anybody cares!

ITS HAIR that's right JUST HAIR if you cut if it grows back.
Reply:i think u need to add blond or reddish-brown highlights to your hair. u could cut your hair a little shorter and KEEP IT DOWN. you could straighten your hair and make a part with a comb.
Reply:Ok. Get this stuff in a blur bottle called curley sexy hair cream. Use it after you take a shower and let your hair be wet.

Let hair dry and it will turn out very pretty.
Reply:Your hair sounds almost exactly like mine until I got tired of it to. I went in this last year and had my hair layered. You could start the layers like 3-4 inches from the top of the head which will give you the bangs and then just keep going down. It will still let you keep your long hair. Then I got highlights and mine are like a caramel color with a little bit lighter brown almost blonde and then it has a touch of red if the light hits just right. If you go in to have it done professionally they can give you advice on what they think would look nice on you before they do it. I hope I helped!!
Reply:Okay but what is your height and weight and what part of your body carries the most weight. If you are top heavy and have a small bottom half your hair should be no longer than your shoulders to balance it out. If you are bottom heavy keep it long and add some blond streaks to your hair to lengthen the top half of your body this will add height to your frame.
Reply:hm

i think these are cute

Reply:Corn roll it!
Reply:i LOVE this hairstyle:

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/da...

if you went for that kind of length with the bangs it would look really cute. i also suggest getting some coloring done... possibly some blonde highlights, but make sure you get it done by a professional first. and then you can probably straighten it with a good straightener. a new hairstyle like that will definitely make you look older (in a good way).

Why do I have acne and my brother doesnt?

I mean I am 19, I have always had moderately unattractive acne and he is 22 and has NEVER had acne, like he has probably had a total of 3 zits in his entire life (I am not exaggerating). Same is with my oldest sister, she had acne, than the sister born after her DIDNT whatsoever and than my brother born just after her didnt have acne either and now I do and so does my 2 brothers just below me. It seems to have skipped the second and third child and than came to haunt the rest of us. To make it worse I have it on my shoulders as well, my older brother NEVER had it anywhere on his body, he has crystal clear skin. Its really upsetting. Why is this?

Why do I have acne and my brother doesnt?
try washing your sheets every week, then go get some Clinique at your local department store example Nordstroms, Blomingdales or buy it online...this stuff works wonders it helped me and my young cousin had it the worst, but is all clear now thanks to Clinique...

don't worry it's all in the genes, some people get it and some people don't...

ps clinique has free shipping going on right now...

PSS try this clinique most stores have free samples
Reply:Maybe you don't take care of your skin as well as he does. Or maybe your brother simply hit the genetic jackpot.
Reply:You must remember that bodies are different related or not! My

sisters had acne, but my brother and I didn't!
Reply:Exactly why some people get acne and some do not is not fully known. It is known to be partly hereditary (if your parents had it you'll be more likely to have it). Some factors are known to be linked to acne, such as hormonal activity, stress, and hyperactive sebaceous glands.

For most people acne goes away by their 20s. I recommend you use Proactiv, as it has worked for many people I know. As for you brother, be happy that he doesn't have acne, you wouldn't want him to go through it. Here are some tips you could try to keep your skin healthier and thus prevent acne:

*Avoid excessive sun exposure (although it will initially improve acne, consistent sun exposure will increase pluggin of your pores and make acne worse)

*Avoid over-washing your face (limit washing to 2/3 times per day). More than that aggravates your skin and leads to increased oil production. Also avoid products with alcohol, they overstrip your skin of natural oils and make acne worse.

*Don't pick you skin...EVER. Picking your skin forces bacteria deeper into the pores and makes acne worse. It also leads to scarring.

* Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.

* Eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water and get adequate sleep to make your skin took its best.

Good luck!
Reply:Have you ever try consulting a dermatologist regarding with your acne? on cause is that it is genetically present in your family it may not be directly your mom or dad having it. it can be you uncle or anywhere in your family tree. 2nd, yes you do wash your face, but be careful with facial wash it maybe not fit for you that is what causing you acne. 3, the food you eat may contribute to acne too. it may just be hormonal imbalance that's making you having it....
Reply:if you have had acne for a while you should see a dermotologist..

do not pop any ..all you do is spread it and make ugly scars....wash or change your sheets every few of days(3) cause they hold alot of bacteria. keep as clean as possible, even if it means you shower several times a day...esp after sweating alot ..using a mild soap

I thought i had a bot fly in my back, but is that what it really is?

The other day my boyfriend saw this whole in my back. He's seen it before, but only thought that it was a zit. He's also seen this same thing before in another spot and ended up pulling something out that looked like dead skin. He tried to do the same thing with this, but it wouldn't come out and I told him that it hurt so he stopped. He sort of irritated it and a bump formed. It went away after a few hours, but when i woke up this morning the whole was slightly bigger and black. I rubbed it a little and it's tender. I looked up information on bot flies, again and i'm not sure if that's what it is. I hope not, but just incase, i made an appointment with my doctor tonight to look at it. This is the second time i've had one of these and i'm still not sure what it is.

I thought i had a bot fly in my back, but is that what it really is?
I don't know what that could be....hopefully nothing to concerning! Good luck!

Titans or Colts ????!!????

Ok so all you people that said Titans suck and colts are going to blow them out in week 5 what now what do you have to say to the Colts getting away with a win by the skin of mannings teeth huh and what about the giants who sucks WHO drops the ball with a 21 point lead HUH?? tell me ? VINCE YOUNG is the CHit and second in rushing only to the dirty bird Vick.... What do all you Titan haters now whos going to win%26gt;......????

Titans or Colts ????!!????
hahahahahahahahaha i love it!! who won by any chance... did any one watch the game?!?! BC THE TITANS WON! ha titans are the best and u guys dont know a good football team when u see it
Reply:nothing really but they got lucky
Reply:first of all you should try proofreading your question b4 posting it

im not a titans or a colts hater (i'm actually a giants and bears fan)

but anyway the colts will probably win this game, the titans have started to look good lately. Vince Young has shown some good decision making and his running is helping the team out a lot. But the colts, even though they have been barely winning games all season should take this game. They are coming off of an easy win against the extinct Eagles and that may pump them up for this game.
Reply:I WOULD TAKE THE COLTS.WHAT ARE YOU THINKING YOU BUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:how dare you compare that slow vince young to the jolting speed of micheal vick. the titans are going nowhere. a win is a win, a lose is a lose
Reply:going to go with titans, but talent for talent the colts r better. But young and henry should be enough to sqeeze out a win. Now that vinces confidence is up its time to see what he can do.
Reply:Colts are still going to win but the Titans did have a nice comeback. They had a lot of big breaks on both offense and defense in the 4th quater. I think that Vince Young will keep it close but the colts will win another close game.
Reply:THE COLTS BY 35!
Reply:Dude, what's your beef? The Titans have the worst defense in the AFC for points allowed. If they win out (which they won't) they will still only be a 9-7 team. IF they make the playoffs, they will get their @sses handed to them.
Reply:I have a feeling you won't be bragging about the Titans after Sunday.

Isn't Christianity spiritual white supremacy?

Jesus was not white but he is depicted with blue eyes and white hair when he is described with bronze skin and wooly hair. Judaism and Christianity both are forms of Hebraism that originated in Africa, and there is an abundance of evidence including temples and tombs that verify this truth. White christians have killed, tortued and pillaged the resources of christians with color all over the world. Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to love your brother as you love yourself but there isnt even equality amongst christian nor the desire to create it. Christian say you must worship this white man who died for your sins all the while they devise ways to keep the colored people of the world oppressed. People are dying from Aids and the Pope says it is a sin to wear a condom. Christianity is nothing more than a scheme to keep the masses dumb, deaf and blind.

Isn't Christianity spiritual white supremacy?
Don't generalize Christianity- many many many religions fall under the broad term Christianity and unfortunately- many of them, including and especially Catholicism are not Christian in nature. Be careful of how you stereotype people and groups. There are many true Christian churches that recognize and acknowledge Hebraic roots, know that Jesus was not a blue eyed, fair skinned surfer dude, and are fully accepting of all races and creeds. I agree that there are some out there that are just as you describe but when you put us all in the same catergory, you are bearing false witness and spreading a lot of misinformation.
Reply:You're absolutely correct. Amen brother
Reply:AMEN brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:preach, sir!
Reply:so are you trying to reform christianity from within

should we instead have an image of a black jesus

what happens when we are dead and in 2000 years and it becomes about black supremecy

maybe what we need is no images of gods
Reply:First..the Pope worships Jesus's mother...therefore bypasses Christianity.

As for Jesus's color...He was born in Bethlehem to Middle Eastern mom and God... While no one gave a discription of His looks...people of that are aren't exactly light skinned. We are made in the image of Him...does it really matter what Christ's skin color was?
Reply:The truth is Christianity means a follower of Christ. Skin color is of no relevance. The graven images you speak of were created in the catholic church. If you read the scriptures you will never see skin color mentioned. God loves everyone.
Reply:Christianity may be a lot of bad things, but it is not white supremacy. In Africa, Jesus is depicted as a black man. Also, a Moor could rise to very high status in Europe before colonialism reared its ugly head (think of Shakespeare's play Othello). Europeans didn't really have a concept of "the white race;" they thought of themselves as English, French, Russian, etc., just as Asians today think of themselves as Chinese, Japanese, Vietmanese, etc. today. They thought of Africans as exotic and foreign, but not inferior. The whole concept of "the white race" is an invention of colonialism, an excuse to oppress the non-European peoples.
Reply:The Europeans changed Jesus to match their ideal because God created man in his image, so God must look like them, right? And Christians these days really aren't doing that many crusades... so killing by Christians is kind of minimal. And it's really the wackos that think they are doing the will of God that went/go on killing sprees. I wouldn't attack such a large group of people who do some really great things for the world just because you don't agree with everything they do or say. I think that you're doing the very thing that causes people to get a bad taste in their mouth for religious faiths of all kinds. You're shoving your ideas down the throats of others in an effort to convert people. If you don't like Christianity, that's fine. But don't think you're going to make it disappear anytime soon. It's one of the largest religious groups in the world. We atheists should lobby for our ideals, by not by attacking an negating the beliefs of others.
Reply:Jesus is often drawn, painted and depicted in whatever nationality he is presented in.I've seen paintings of Jesus in almost every culture you can imagine.

He was a Jew, and most likely did not have blond hair and blue eyes. Most of us know this. Its true that many wars have been fought over God, and many people claiming to fight for Christ have done so really for their own gain, but Jesus never promoted those all those things. Just because a Christian does something and says they are doing it in the name of God it doesn't make it right.

You should also know that not all Christians use the Pope as the head of their church, that's a Catholic belief, not a Christian one.The pope doesn't make whats a sin and whats not God does.

You claim your truth is in temples and tombs, my truth is in my heart..you know where the truth is found? In the word of God. Its in the message of Jesus Christ. Jesus was not about oppressing people, he was about setting them free.

He was beyond color of skin, beyond racial discrimination. He loved us so much and he came to show that. He died for ALL of our sins, because we are all equals, we are all Gods creations.
Reply:The pope doesn't speak for all Christians. As for killing and pillaging Christians "of colour" all over the world, is this really true, or propaganda, and isn't it true that other religions do this as well, and kill people of other religions? I was of the opinion that there were many many black Christians in America for instance, true Christians do not hate or despise them. I am a Christian and do not hate people of other colours, I don't hate anyone, I hate the evil things that happen, but don't blame this on any one person, colour or race etc. Actually, many of my friends, Christian or otherwise are "of colour", but I don't actually see the colour, I don't think to myself "oh yes, so and so is Asian" or anything else, if you do this, then are you not the racist one?

It sounds like you're just a bitter moron who wants to slam Christians.
Reply:hahahahahaa. nice try racist.

Jesus Himself had to be very very dark, almost black.
Reply:No...it shouldnt be! Jesus did preach love and that we are ALL equal...so I cant speak for all Christians but I can speak for myself when I say that although I am NOT perfect I do try to treat every single person the same! And Jesus is not white...he was a Hebrew in his human form then when he decended into heaven...he is in SPIRITUAL form...meaning that he has no race! And the pope says its a sin to wear a condom because when you get married you are supposed to have children! But he isnt saying that you shouldnt wear a condom if you have aids...you shouldnt be having sex REGUARDLESS if you have aids! And Satan is nothing more then a scheme to keep you from seeing what Jesus is REALLY saying! If he didnt love you and me and the world...why would he have died for it? Im sure if you just asked the Lord into your heart he would open your eyes and you would see! I will pray for you!

GOD BLESS YOU!

I believe that if you spend 5-10 minutes reading this essay, you will be better informed than if you listen to a lifetime's worth of Major Media news. Please don't assume that I'm a very old person. I'm just 18, and a university student studying English who just cannot sit back and let the lies fly unchallenged.

This article has two parts:

1. Cultural and general info

2. Political info.

If you wanna know the rest of of the story, read it from top to bottom.

Note:.I've explained all the things that you ALWAYS talk about, so read it all plz! Specially the political part! Any answers before reading the whole thing will prove to be wrong.

Hi. I'm an Iranian who has spent his life in Iran. When I chat with people from other countries, I am shocked to see how totally wrong their ideas are about Iran. I wrote this article in an attempt to help correct those ideas.

The first thing America, and the West in general, accuses our government of is that we don't allow personal freedoms. Actually, Iranians disobey laws they don't like as much as anyone. Many strict rules in other countries don't even exist in Iran. Also, you should understand that what may seem so normal to you, may be a nightmare for us and vise versa. That's why you don't understand a few of Iran's laws.In Iran every single house has a sattelite dish. Sattelite television has a serious influence on our people, and Iranians wear very fashionable clothing. Maybe it is a kind of imitation, but we still have our own unique Iranian style. A visitor might wonder if this is a country or a fantasy pageant of beauty queens! Almost half of women wear their hair out, and make-up and fashionable clothing are everywhere. Iran is one of the super-consumers of cosmetics. You would be surprised to see the difference between what you imagine and what Iran really is!

In my view, everything is great, if you ignore unemployment, inflation and air pollution. But I guess these are common problems around the world today, aren't they? Also, you can't compare Iran today with the Iran you remember. The Shah and the Iatollah Khomini are both some 30 years in the past!Nearly 65-70% of Iran's population is a new generation without the biases of the past (The youth), and we've transformed everything.

Some people think women don't have any rights in Iran. But in my view, women are overrunning the place. But that's not a bad thing. They're very respectful, and they've been the winners in so many cases: They get into the best universities because they're very smart. And they get the best jobs because they can do so many of them better than men. They've got Islamic rights, and that has in some cases made it difficult for men to marry them, because husbands are supposed to buy them expensive things and treat them very well, otherwise women have the right to ask a great amount of money (called Mehr) according to the law, which most husbands cannot afford, so they (men) will be imprisoned. The only thing that women are not allowed to do in Iran is getting into public football stadiums and that's because such places are full of cheeky guys. They do anything from taking part in rallies to singing pop songs.Anything! I've put a sample here. I feel foolish for sitting here explaining ordinary things to you.

Another funny thing: Your footage about stoning the women who have committed adultery. Have you ever asked yourselves how many years ago that footage related to? Are they balck and white or colourful? lol And for your information, those are from Afghanistan which was ruled by freaks (Taliban). When you think of such things, try to think of the racism in your country too. lol

I find it difficult to make you understand that Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan are --------- SEPERATE COUNTRIES! --------- Even within Iran, 60% of us are Persian and 30% are Turkish! I find it even more difficult to make you understand that Iran is a normal country like any other in the world. The point is, there's nothing mysterious about us! The Media are very good at creating really scary stuff: "IRAN BEHIND THE CLOSED DOORS!!!" "IRAN UNDERCOVER!!!" Some of that garbage would be enough to scare ME away! But in truth, Iranians are far more open-minded than you have been led to believe.

There are lots of Iranians today who are geniuses and scientists, and are all under age 25. You don't hear about their discoveries and inventions on TV. For instance a 17 year old boy has invented 72 amazing inventions and there are many KIDS like that. Iranian students and sportsmen win gold and silver medals in different competitions in the world all the time, in robotics, biology, maths, physics, sports, anything! Why don't the Media talk about them? Please don't summarize our nation and culture with the single word "nuclear". Although we're proud of this achievement because we believe that having nuclear energy means that a country is developed.Did you know that the countries having the highest number of scientists in the world are in this order? 1-India 2-Korea 3-Iran

A few months ago Iran uncovered the most effective anti-H.I.V medicine and it was signing treaties with other countries to export it. I searched for news of that on the internet, but there was no single sign of it. What did I find instead? "President Bush CLAIMS that bomb parts are imported from Iran into Iraq!" (The same old story!) The Media are unjust. They put CLAIMS on the headlines, but they never talk about facts!

Some interesting facts:

Iran is a pioneer in medicine and genetics, and Iranian surgeons have found lots of new methods for treating spinal defects, and many diseases (mainly the treatment for different types of cancer) and the best brain and heart surgeons are Iranian. The head of the Mars Mission in NASA is Iranian. One of the best designers of sports cars working in Germany is Iranian. Some of the best 3D animators are Iranian. Iran is one of the best countries in counter-engineering. Holds the second place in building dams and in loads of other things! It's one of the top countries in bio-technology and nano-technology. The 4th highest tower in the world (Milad tower) is in Tehran (visit it at this link from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Milad... ). 51 of the top 100 universities in the Mid-East are in Iran, and they're among the top universities of the world as well. The champion weight-lifter, a woman, and a song by one of the pop singers who/which won the nobel peace prize are Iranians. Lots of Iranians win nobel prizes specially in the field of medicine. Iranian girls are famous for being terrific. We have Persian rugs and Persian literature, many Persian poets and scientists that are very famous. Iranian culture is now westernized and only a little of the ancient culture has survived. According to statistics Tehran is the cheapest capital city in the world (for foriegners of course, not for us! Our rate is different: one Dollar =about 950 Tomans!) There are many other things. How many pages would you need to describe a country? Iran is an independant country unlike its neighbours. It has nearly all the industries and technologies found in 'developed' countries. The list is endless.

News: "Iranian scientists managed to make human teeth grow after you've lost them using basic cells" I'm gonna introduce Iran's international news website to you (Press TV) which was established recently. It's fully in English. You'll find what they're hiding from you! In the "Sic / Tech" section you'll always see Iran's discoveries. The address is: http://www.presstv.ir/news.aspx... Press TV news: Iranian scientists have registered more than 4800 inventions during the last Iranian calendar year of 1385 (April 21 2006-April 20, 2007). 4800 inventions in just one year!

Some charactristics of Iranians would be: intelligent, ambitious, a bit idealistic, well-dressed, formal, well-educated, warm and friendly, hospitable, and not so religious, (the majority of the young generation, that is, which leaves us unfortunately vulnerable to pseudoIslamic lies). We are also proud, greedy, hard-working (for ourselves), not punctual, impatient, and lazy at doing our duty well.

Some people think Iran is a desert! Well, it is, if you consider California, New Mexico, Utah, Arkansas, and Alabama a desert. We share the same latitude. Iran is a modern country with breathtakingly beautiful nature and lots of historic places to visit. Please take a look at the following links to see if Iran looks like what you think or not! This is a photo of Tehran (Awesome, Isn't it?): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co...

Some people think music is forbidden in Iran. Did you know that Iranian music was chosen as the best pop in France in 2005? I guess not. All Iranian songs are current pop /Club-Dance/Trance/ DJ music. I send them to my American and Canadian chat friends and they all say they're some of the

best songs they've ever heard.

Here's a sample of the latest hits. (So catchy, Right?) I believe in "Express yourself through music and that music is a universal language". You can just right click on the links below and choose "Save Target As" to download them. The translation of the songs is here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

And so on and on!

It's now 2007 and people still think we are uneducated people living in deserts, riding camels and carrying around guns! See how the media are fooling people?

Let's clarify some political issues as well: Some of the Americans I chatted with said in the U.S it's said that president Ahmadinejad hates the U.S and Israel and wants to nuke them!! The Media are good at putting lying comments out there. It's easy to show a video or an image of our president or leader on the TV screen or on the internet and say he says this, he says that.....I really don't get the point why our politicians defame themselves by talking about things that have got nothing to do with us. For example does verbal defence of Palestinians cause them to have a better life? The thing is that they occasionally make some statements that the media would misuse it against Iran. For example they pick up some specific phrases of a long speech (without refering to the main points and reasons for that speech) and put so many bad comments on that. No sane person would take such nonsense at face value.

First of all, Iranians don't hate anyone. If our government complains about some injustice going on in the world, it's not bad, is it? (Although what we want from them is to shut up and not get us into trouble by talking about things that are none of our concern) We hate neither Jews nor Americans. I love Americans, otherwise why would I talk to them?! How would our guys dream of America, want to be like them as much as possible, and hate them at the same time?! I've got to say that for Iran, Israel is not equal with Jews! Israel is a gov't. Jews are faithful people! A few of them live here in our neighbourhood and they live just like the rest of Iranians. No difference. And two of Iran's parliment members are Jews. Who says we want to force others to convert to Islam? Have you ever found a Muslim knocking at your door asking you to do so? It's so funny the way you imagine things and make yourselves believe in your own immaginations!

Christians and Jews are both God-believers and respectful to us. I wonder why the media like putting words in our mouth and raising hatred. In Iran, religion is one of the least important factors. Where you come from and what your religion is are not important to us at all. On the contrary, meeting different people would be very interesting for us!

I wonder who Iran is really a threat to. Is it logical to say someone's guilty because we THINK / PREDICT that he's going to do something wrong? And they repeat the same "nuclear weapons" tosh over and over and brainwash people! News headlines: "We won't allow Iran to gain nuclear weapons"!!! Correction! It's "nuclear energy". Besides, how many "nuclear weapons" do they have themselves? Hundreds of thousands? Has Iran ever attacked any countries? No. Has it developed any nukes? No! That's what nuclear agency says. Only Iran's opponents are pulling Iran's leg and what they say is of no credit. It's just based on political conflicts. What we're doing is legal. What they ask us to do (ignoring our international rights) is illegal. Iran is a peaceful country. Why? It's the regional super-power and if she wanted, she could easily invade the countries in our neibourhood just like what Saddam did to our country, but as you see Iran has peaceful relations with all of them. It can set an example to some countries that just follow their interests (oil!). Interesting! the countries accusing Iran of different things have been, and are still accused of the same things!!! How logical!

Some people say he said: Israel should be wiped off the map! But have they told you the rest of his speech and that why he's said this at all? You know that it's a passive sentence. He's never said that IRAN wants to wipe Israel off the map! He wasn't talking about destroying Israel. He was talking about relocating Israel, so that they could live seperate from Palestinians and they could both live in peace. They've only told you this phrase not the whole thing and it's mistranslated intentionally. Iran has always defended itself, but it's not an offensive country.

Some say he's said: "The Holocaust is a myth!" Again, this is a single phrase taken from a long speech and there are totally logical reasons for saying so. If 6,000,000 Jews were killed, that's terrible, but 300,000 Shiite Moslems killed by Saddam aren't important at all? Over 650,000 Iraqi people are killed and that's not important?! When Fox News simply says that America and Israel are capable of destroying and killing Iran's population of 69,000,000 within two weeks, it's OK and no one says they're threatening other countries to nuke them (I saw this with my own eyes on the Fox News website) Millions of people killed in Afghanistan, Hiroshima %26amp; Nagasaki and the Vietnam war are not considered human beings at all! Now I think you'd get the point why he's IRONICALLY said it's a myth. Moreover, don't you believe in freedom of speech/mind? [I do, but there ARE P.C. morons who don't.] I'd judge people by their ACTIONS rather than by what they say / their religion / race / culture and the colour of their skin!

Obviously, some countries are using Iran as a scapegoat to put the blame (for their own faults) on. And what country is better than Iran to be a scapegoat? The whole world believes that Iran isn't a peaceful country. I know Americans don't like this either, but what can they do? They're not responsible for controlling what the Media says. This part is just for Americans who would still argue over unimportant things: Those of you who say why Iran says "Death to America":

1. 'America' to us means the U.S govt, not the people. How do you expect Iranians to mean "American people" when our media admires Americans for marching and holding up "no war" placards?!

2. The new generation don't say such things and if some of them occasionally march in the streets that's because some of the stupid guys enjoy making noise and they mainly go out there to meet their girlfriends/boyfriends! Strange. Isn't it?

3. Such mottos are not just said in Iran and as you know whatever you hear is a response to the U.S govt's terrible actions which has made life for many people hell (You wouldn't deny that attacking countries is a mistake. right?)

5. The U.S gov't helped Saddam attack Iran and I hope you know which country gave Iraq biological weapons which killed lots of Iranians.

6. America hit an Iranian airplane over the Persian Gulf and killed 200 passengers for no reason.

7. America places sanctions on Iran, promotes a false image of Iran and Iranians, scares tourists away, and harms our economy, development and credit. To what purpose?

8. America has always despised Iranians who travel to the U.S. at their arrival. (even ordinary ones, university students, sportsmen, scientists etc).

When you call Ahmadinejad a nutcase for what he's said, what do you call Bush for his actions? I mean it's a good idea to consider what Bush is doing to the world with his wrong decisoins and lies. Bush is powerful and influencial, but Ahmadinejad is nothing.I know it, you know it, everyone knows it.

To those who are upset with American hostages taken for 444 days:

1. Firstly, It's related to so many years ago and it's almost a part of history, and don't forget that when there's a revolution, there'd be chaos and people may do things that they should not, moreover they're all alive and healthy. Aren't they?

2.The U.S has arrested Iranian diplomats in Iraq and had tortured the one who was freed. Poor British sailors were detained by the English gov't just for saying that they were treated well in Iran and that Iranians were logical people (They said these when they were on England's soil!) They were PREVENTED from releasing their memoirs by England! Now you decide who has the right to be upset with whom. How do you believe in their lies about politics when they hide both the most and the least important things from you considering the fact that politics is the world of lies in its nature?!!! Considering all this, you'd probably be able to GUESS what percentage of what they tell you about the Mid-East, Islam, Moslems and other things is true!!! lol

Isn't it better for both countries to forget past conflicts and to have peaceful relations? Our two gov'ts are like 10 year old children playing a stupid, harsh, rhetorical game. They don't care about hurting people's feelings. They just try to make our two peoples enemies to achieve their own goals. We, as the people of these countries, MUST NOT allow these conflics into our hearts. You know something? All govt's are hateful. I just said the above things because it sounds unfair when some Americans talk about the taking of the 444 hostages while I keep silence. I hope you agree on this one! Now, what do you think? I can't wait to see both nations in peace. It'd be marvelous!

Thanks for your time

It's taken me almost a year to complete this. What do you think of it?
Thank you. I now see a Iran from a different point of view, an unbiased by the media view. Thank you for taking the time to explain to the rest of us what the media is unable to show. Now if the rest of the world could be shown your Iran from your eyes we would all be better off.
Reply:well obviously you are a very smart man. :D

good job.
Reply:This is a well written and well reference article/essay. I would encourage you to continue to express yourself this way. The world is in desperate need to this type of leadership. I commend you for taking the time to put this work together...I hope many people get to read it!
Reply:There is a lot of censorship in the US media. Every story presented only shows one side and no one reall knows the causes and the extremities. People in the US, are very patriotic and very passionate, however if they had only knew the truth about the other side of the story, they would have different outlook towards its policies, how the government has been trying to break up other countries to their own benefits. Look at Iraq, for instance they only count the US casualties, what about all those hundreds of thousand of civilians who lost their lives and most of them where women and children. There should be an International policies to protect the innocent from the bullies. Turkey has been fighting terorisim for the past 35 something years. Do they need US permission to protect it's borders? I don't think so. Every Country has their own right to protect their soil, land and most of all it's people. Thank you for the informative story and hoping that there would be more people who would express their feelings.
Reply:Please summarize this dissertation so that we may respond, if indeed there is a question there.

One might be interested in what the Muslims have to say. The religious ideology of the Palestinian Authority religious leaders can be summarized by eight essential principles:

Regarding the Jews:

Jews are the enemy of Allah.

Islam is fighting a continuous religious war against the Jews.

The killing of Jews is a religious obligation.

Palestinians are the vanguard in this war against the Jews, and all Islamic nations are obligated to assist in this war.

Regarding Israel:

- All of the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea (which includes all of Israel) is a religious Waqf -- an Islamic religious trust. Any Muslim who relinquishes any part to Israel is damned to Hell.

- All agreements with Israel are inherently temporary in nature, and are signed only because of Israel's temporary balance of power advantage.

- Allah will replace Muslims who shirk their obligation to battle Israel.

- The ultimate destruction of Israel is a certainty.

The Palestinians repeatedly use Islamic sources to defend this religious hatred, even demanding the killing of Jews as a current obligation and the will of Allah. At least four times in recent months, Palestinian religious leaders have taught publicly that the following Hadith (Islamic traditions attributed to Mohammed) is an authoritative directive of Islam today, expressing Allah's will that obedient Moslems kill Jews. According to Sheikh Muhammed Abd al Hadi La'afi, quoted in the official P.A. newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida (May 18, 2001), and Dr. Muhammed Ibrahim Madi, delivering the main Friday sermon on Palestinian TV (April 13, 2001), the Hadith itself states:

"The Day of Resurrection will not arrive until the Muslims make war against the Jews and kill them, and until a Jew hiding behind a rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!'"

Reply:ok i read it and i thought it was greaT!!! very thorough and informative!! good job!!! the pictures were also really beautiful. my dad was born in Iran, but i was born in the US and i've never had a desire to go see where my daddy grew up, but now you've changed my mind!!! baricallah!! lol
Reply:I admire you for writing this. It's great to hear someone's perspective from inside their own country. I believe that the Iranian people and American people have a lot of fondness and respect for each other. I live in a USA suburb and my neighborhood is about 5% Iranian and I've worked with and known Iranians throughout my life, so our respect is genuine. I've also heard that the Iranian people feel warmth for Americans too (sometimes I wonder if that's partly because smart Iranians are rebelling against the "death to America" garbage they've heard for 30 years). Your defense of your culture and people is quite eloquent. I'm sure Iran is "better than people think" (in America at least) as far as daily life. Thank you for pointing that out. I think your desire to have a good life and liberty and democracy will ultimately help your nation rise to become a true democracy some day.

But your defense of your government, especially Ahmadinejad, has lots of holes and incorrect assumptions. The Iranian Revolution is water under the bridge, but new travesties occur regularly. Iran is now arresting Iranians with American citizenship on trumped up charges of spying. It's obvious that those British sailors were pressured severely into incriminating themselves. The entire incident was orchestrated by Iran and the sailors were almost certainly grabbed under false pretenses. It reminds me so much of the old USSR, making ridiculous claims and arresting dissidents and the like, really making fools of themselves for doing so (albeit dangerous fools). To say that Iran only wants nuclear energy and not weapons is laughable. Clearly Ahmadinejad wants to have nuclear weapons and all the leverage they command. I'm not afraid he'll nuke Israel or anyone else – even he's not that crazy – just that he wants to be able to bully his neighbors (and America) with impunity, which would be harmful enough. As for Israel, he clearly wants Jews out of Palestine, or (worse) he's acting like he does to play to the crowds. You can't say his words about Israel aren't belligerent. While I don't think he'd ever attack Israel, his statement that the holocaust is a myth is a deep offense to Jews, Americans and many Germans, plus it's just so laughably wrong, that it doesn't matter what else he said in the same speech. Americans who say hateful things (think Mel Gibson) are judged pretty harshly too.

I won't defend George Bush and all his follies. I certainly won't defend American policies towards Iran before the Shah was deposed, which were horrible. But at least Bush's heart is in the right place. He honestly felt he could make Iraq a better place. Hopefully our next president won't be such a fool.

Ouija players? Would you ever do it again?!!?

ALL OF THE NIGHTMARES HAVE COME TO LIFE

One Friday night I and a few friends in college decided to do something really creepy and we decided to play Ouija. I played the game twice and I’ll never do it again. The first time I played, I had an uneasy feeling that swarmed all over my body with a bitter coldness. It was the kind of uneasy feeling that made your body feel tight and frozen even if you sat on a heater (not a good idea). I should’ve known from the first time that I shouldn’t have done it again. I was bored and decided to play with my friends to enjoy the weekend on campus.

The game had something to do with inviting ghosts to a dark room and there were 12 ghosts in the room with five women (us). The majority of the ghosts were children under the age of nine. As we invited the ghosts and the more they came, the colder it became and everyone began shivering from the drafty coldness. The drafts swept through the soles of our shoes to the skin underneath our feet, and all the way through our clothing to the core of my bones.

I decided to be another one of the curious friends and told my friend to ask the board who it wanted to talk to. It said it wanted to speak to me. They ask my and it said because I was there and sounded interesting to speak to. I ask the board a question and it told me that it was true that there are ghosts haunting the Ferry Building at Pine Manor College during the night hours. It gave m e the letter of the person it disliked or the ghosts didn’t like. The lady’s name started with an (S), which we all knew Sophia’s name began with that letter. It also went to her last name’s first letter which was (H) for Henderson. We all squealed and pretended to be frightened until it said it didn’t like Nicole because she swore at the dead nine year old boy for lying to her.

I removed my finger from the curser when they began asking who was going to die and how many years they would die. If you removed your finger, it didn’t feel you or realize you were still there anymore. After asking who would die and when, I placed my index finger back on the curser to ask a pleasant question. I asked it if I would leave MA for a good reason and it said yes. I would leave for a good reason involving a career in writing or art. One of the girls asked if the ghosts like me and it went directly to yes before she finished the entire sentence. It said yes and then (Adam) the ghost told the girl who asked the question to leave. The ghost spelled it out and went to the first letter of her first name (A) for Ashley.

As the ghosts began getting angry, the room became icing cold and things started to shift while the board started spinning in awkward directions without people touching it. More ghosts came and it turns out there were 15 ghosts in a single dorm room with five women still. The other five were older people who lived in the Ferry building before getting murdered and still wander the campus in search of his murderer at night. They were in their 40s and 50s. They all died in between the years of 1934-1966. It is the yea of 2008.

While I choked on chips and soda in between laughs I regretted joining in on the game. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing and I knew it would be worst than the first time with more people involved, the first time, there 27 ghosts and three women in the large double dorm room.

My mind was telling me not to go while my body still walked into the room toward the board game. I knew I would have trouble sleeping after playing Ouija with four other people and fifteen ghosts. Some admitted to being evil kids who didn’t care about death and were ignored by their parents when they died. A 20 year old Hispanic man and a few others had improper burials and their bones were scattered all over the campus, (mostly over East 4 village dorms. Mine is East 3) which means they are still looking for the people who did this to them and they don’t realize that their killers either died or left the country after doing those dirty deeds.

Just as the women began feeling cold things glide up their legs we stopped playing and turned the lights back on. I averted my eyes with my hands from the pain of the light and slowly uncovered them. I gathered all of my belongings and began preparing to head back to my dorm room that was down the hall. Most of us lived on the second floor, which was where we played the game.

I’d say this would be my last experience with the Ouija board for as long as I live. I’ve never known something like that ever existed. I’ve heard of the name, but never understood the entire story or how to play. I thought it was a boring game as though it were like a checker board kind.

WHAT MADE IT MY WAKING NIGTMARE?

As I was exiting Nicole’s room after everyone was gone and I was still talking to her and another person, I decided to take a turn near the bathroom closest to her room. While I took a urn to my right, there was the faint figure of a small child that ran from one wall through the wall of the bathroom I wanted to use. I rubbed my eyes and tried to convince myself that it was my eyes that was playing tricks on me, and really, I felt as though I really saw a ghost that was the size of my four year old nephew run past me into a wall without looking.

Ouija players? Would you ever do it again?!!?
goodness you shouldnt do this on a whim!! you could even attract the wrong spirits!! it shouldnt even be "played" as a "game"! the only purpose for the board would be just to get serious answers - not for laughs. im sure you'll want to do it again eventually. until then, you should learn how to summon GOOD spirit. they can be angels, spirit guides, deceased family, and dont forget to ask God for protection!

i only used it 3 times and i always ask God for protection and conjure psychic shielding. if you feel chilly in ANY way, you're inviting demons/bad spirits. its only right if you feel love and warmth.
Reply:Sorry I didn't read all of your account but I think you should steer clear of this activity, there's a lot of evil stuff floating around and you could just open up yourself to being a target. I haven't heard any positive experiences coming from these sessions. Keep life simple and positive there are lots of fun things to do with your time.
Reply:I think you might have called upon a bad ghost who doesn't want to leave. Did you close the circle after doing the ouija board?

My ouija board suggested having an opening chant to open the circle and invite the good spirits and when we're done, you should close the circle and let the spirits go.

Cast seems loose, should i be concerned? Also i feel a wierd sensation in the leg sometimes, what this?

3 weeks ago i broke my ankle, fibula, and tibia, it was all set in place and no pins or metal or anything, surgery was great, just stuck it back in and put a good, and heavy, plaster cast on it, first few days, it felt almost too tight (from swelling and stuff),but now, it feels like it might be a little loose. i could fit a finger in it easy, my leg can move around barely, its mostly loose at the top edge but it seems tighter at the bottom (at where i think is the useless spot for it to be, near the toes, the breaks HIGHER) now sometimes it hurts a little if i put it in a certain spot, i wouldnt want to have to get a new cast and everything, but if its not really a problem if its slightly loose. also, i felt a wierd (pinch?) sensation a few times, it felt like liquid was in the spot for a second but goes away. not really painful but kinda sharp, really hard to describe without giving people the wrong idea (like the bone is sticking out of my skin or something, which it isnt)

Cast seems loose, should i be concerned? Also i feel a wierd sensation in the leg sometimes, what this?
No, everything sounds perfectly normal. That's precisely what happened when my motorcycle and my knee were rudely introduced to a drunk driver. I was in a cast for 9 weeks and it got loose, too, but that was because my leg was shrinking (skinnier shrinking, not shorter shrinking) from disuse. By the time the cast was taken off, my leg looked like a long toothpick with a long, skinny foot at the end of it. It was really ugly. But it all came back with exercise and physical therapy. Now I run lots of miles a week.

I had some pains like that, too. Phantom pains, mostly, that came and went without any reason for them. They faded after a while. About the pain when you put it in a certain position. The Groucho Marx answer is, "Then don't do that." That kind of pain generally tells you that you're dong something you shouldn't, so don't. Don't worry, though. It'll be fine in time. Some of the other pains it sounds like are just nerves objecting to disuse. They'll get better, too.

It sounds like you're doing very nicely. Good luck on your recovery.
Reply:that sounds fine, i have a full cast on and i can touch my knee but the doctors say its fine and the feeling is proberly nerve damage Report It

Reply:When I broke my ankle after a few weeks I could put two fingers between my leg %26amp; the cast. I went back to have it checked and was told it was fine like that %26amp; would have to be a lot looser for them to put a new cast on.
Reply:The cast doesn't need to be tighter. as for the sensation, it could be a normal part of healing. If it persists or gets real bad, call the doctor's office and chat with a nurse or something.
Reply:I had this happen to me when i broke my arm, they said that the bone had moved by a few degrees and that's what caused the pinch, so maybe the bone in your leg has come out of alignment and you can feel it. The best thing to do is go to the hospital where you had the surgery, or your GP and get them to take an x-ray of your bone to see if it's all in place or has come out of alignment. They might re-do the cast to make it tighter, because when you had the surgery your leg was swollen, now 3 weeks later it has gone down, the cast is loose.

Hope you feel better soon! :)

Do you think 'The Freeddom Writers' Diary' is authentic?

I am sceptical... Of course, I know that these people do exist and that their work is inspiring, but being a quarter of the way through the book, I have being having doubts for the following reasons:

1. The diaries start from the very first day Ms. Gruwell taught the class. In fact Diary 1 seems to be written as if they have not encountered the new teacher yet. 'She'll probably sit us in alphabetical order to try to stop any fights.' Perhaps the diaries are being written retrospectively, but shouldn't this be clarified?

2. In Ms. Gruwell's second entry of Freshman Year Spring 1995, she says 'They hate reading and getting them to write is out of the question.' Yet why have students been writing consistently since Fall 1994?

3. Also in reference to Gruwell’s statement that her pupils hate writing, the standard of their writing so is out of place. In Spring 1995, one student writes 'The more I thought about this, the more the concept overwhelmed me. I began to analyze and reflect on my life, my many encounters with injustice and discrimination. It sounds strange, somewhat on the line between irony and absurdity, to think that people would rather label and judge something as significant as each other, but completely bypass a peanut.’ This writing is very advanced and not fitting for a fifteen year old who Ms. Gruwell describes as not being ‘conventionally smart.’

4. The pupils seem to gain enlightenment very quickly for people who are portrayed as being stubborn and set in ‘their gangster ways.’ One student writes at the beginning of an entry ‘This game is stupid; I’m not a peanut! And what the hell does world peace have to do with peanuts?’ At the end of the entry, this very same student writes ‘We won’t allow the colour of a man’s heart to be the colour of his skin, the premise of his beliefs and self-worth.’

I am not doubting the existence of the ‘Freedom Writers’, but I do wonder if the a large fraction of the diaries were written some time after the events, with the knowledge that they would be read world-wide and the aim of raising sympathy and money.

Do you think 'The Freeddom Writers' Diary' is authentic?
Girleeny...

I think you may be onto something. You are obviously a very careful reader, and you are very good at noticing where some apparently insignificant detail simply does not jibe with other details, and it seems to happen repeatedly.

Although I did see the movie (which I thought was excellent), I have not read the book. As you noted, some of the apparently inconsistent journal entries could have been entered retrospectively. There is something to be said for editorial license, but in this particular case, I agree with you that it should have been clarified in the book.

The most persuasive point you made in your argument is the fact that the students, tough and street-wise all but not even remotely self-reflective when the story begins, somehow gain enlightenment very quickly. It is a rare individual indeed who transforms his life on the basis of a single experience. To have a whole classful of them do so more or less simultaneously pushes the limits of credibility.

Your observations are very astute, Girleeny. I'm just not sure what else to do with them...perhaps it is not necessary to do anything except just be aware of them. I commend you as well for the cogency of the case you have made, and especially for how articulately you expressed it. A rare thing indeed in this forum.

Thanks to you, I know a bit more than I did ten minutes ago. Thank you for raising the question.

HELP! i am only 13 and i dont know what is wrong with me.?

yes i maybe over reacting a bit but im just really concerned

and im not good at talking about this stuff with people in real life so i will ask you guys.

okay, first of all, i havent had my period since october 13th and it was my very first one, is that normal? :(

second of all, the thing i am MOST concerned about is there are multiple little dark pinking veins on the bottom of my stomach, like when i stretch out my skin in that particular area you can see them but when you don't they are like dents whats wrong with me! please pleaseee help me.

and no i haven't had sex, i'm only 13.

please atleast try to help me? :)

HELP! i am only 13 and i dont know what is wrong with me.?
I was 13 when I first started bleeding too. I only had four periods that first year. They came every three months. If you're not having sex (good for you!), then I wouldn't worry about it. It's totally normal to be irregular when you first start. School nurses can be really cool about answering these kinds of questions.

The second part, I'm not too sure about. It almost sounds like stretch marks. Your hips are spreading and that can cause stretch marks which are really no big deal. Most women get them in the course of their lives. I tried to find some pics to link for you, but couldn't find one I felt comfortable putting up. Ask your school nurse or a friend's mom or your own mom about it.
Reply:We all have veins and things that emerge when we get older.

Your period is very new at this point and may not be regulated yet to come once a month. But don't worry it will!

The dents may be little fat deposits that happen in the fleshier parts of the body.

Can you ask your Mom to take a peek?
Reply:The veins sound pretty normal. Maybe it's thin skin. I, too, myself have visible veins on my arms.. it's because I have thin skin.

As far as your period, they are always irregular. Since you just got yours a couple months ago, ... being irregular is super normal. I am sure it will come next month on it's due date, if not.. Go see a doctor to get it regular.
Reply:it's not abnormal to not have had another period yet. you are young and they are going to be a little abnormal for a while. the pink things sound like strectch marks. if you are really worried tell your mom or see a doctor.
Reply:The veins are normal..when I stretch out my skin, I can see the veins underneath, too.

Your period is fine. I remember when I started mine. I had it one month. Missed the next. Normal next month. Then had my period for 2 weeks straight the month after that....

Irregularity happens all the time with periods.

Gotta love being a girl =)
Reply:for your period, it's normal.

as you get older, your period becomes more accurate.
Reply:Yes it is normal for your body to pick its time for your period. You are young and your body is still adjusting to changes. The veins that you see might be due to stretch marks. Remember as you grow so does every thing else. When your skin is stretched it will produce those types of veins.

Some think the stretch marks come after you gain the weight and lose it.

Don't be alarmed and enjoy your move into women hood.

If you feel pain or smell a weird odor by all means get to your Doctor. Be sides that you sound pretty normal to me!

LOL and God Bless You Always...
Reply:It's very normal for your first couple periods to be spaced out. When I first got mine,it was in April, but didn't get my second until July. From what you're describing, the veins/dents sound like small stretch marks from growing. If that is what they are, don't worry they do fade. If you are really concerned about them, ask your mom to take you to the doctor to have them checked out.
Reply:Your period will not be regular the first year it comes so stop worrying, nothing is wrong with you, it's normal. The veins are nothing to worry about either. You are just growing up. In time everything will look like it is supposed to. You are only 13 now wait until you are 15 and you will see there was nothing to worry about. There is NOTHING wrong with you sweetie so relax. By the way, my sister never got her first period until she was 16. I got mine at 12, it is all dependant on how fast our body matures. Worry will also delay your period so stop worrying. You are fine.
Reply:Hello Annette,

there is nothing to worry about. You had your first period oct, the 13th, well the second one you can not predict when it is going to come, allthough you may search up about the changes in vaginal mucus that may indicate when you are about to menstruate again. It's normal to have irregular periods the first year(s). Some women never get regular periods and that's normal too. And the time between yoru periods doesn't have to be 28 days either.

About the veins: they may be stretch marks, or you may have thin skin that show your veins. The other thing I was wondering is: do you wear tight pants or jeans often? Because a lot of girls wear pants so tight that this may trouble your blood circulation. If the blood can't flow properly this may cause the appearance of veins too and cause stretch marks as well.
Reply:dont get 2 worried, that may put off your period...

New ear lobe piercing, normal pain?

5 days ago my friend pierced my left ear lobe with an earring we got at Wal-Mart, the second day I had to take it out for a few hours due to family reasons then I put it back in and seemed like I had to re-pierce it. Well I dont think its infected because Ive researched it and I have been cleaning it 3 times a day. But now the back of my ear hurts, and just the back. I managed to loosen the back to see if that is any better.

My questions:

1. How long will my piercing feel sore?

2. Do I have to take my piercing out to clean it? Because its hard to get off.

3. In the mornings when I turn it I hear a small tearing noise (almost like im freeing skin around the earring) is this normal?

4. Can I leave my new piercing in because I dont like taking it out?

Thanks

New ear lobe piercing, normal pain?
What happened is you took a fresh piercing out. It is an open wound and without the earring preventing it from healing back together, it started to close. When you put the earring back in, technically you did have to repierce it.

1. Its going to be sore for a while considering you 1. did it yourself improperly and 2. you technically repierced it

2. You don't take them out to clean them, although if I were you, I would take it out, let it heal and have it professionally done.

3. You're probably hearing little crusties crunching, clean it before you turn it.

4. You shouldn't have taken it out to start out with. You're supposed to leave the jewelry in place for at least 6 weeks before changing or removing the jewelry.

You're biggest problem was doing it yourself. Trial and error, live and learn I guess. Next time you want a piercing, please have it done professionally.
Reply:You could've just gone to a body piercing shop to get it done, but nooo.. you just had to pierce it with your earring didnt you? Now deal with it. If it gets infected, lets throw a party. :D
Reply:ok... yes pain is very normal, i got a second hole pierced and had to take it out because i could bear the pain.

when you clean it just simply get it wet with the solution and twist it, removing it will cause infection.

the tearing noise is completely normal, it is simply fluids hardening to the jewlery that noise will go away after about a week

and yes leave it in, the more often you remove it, the more you will let it see the air which could have many things you dont want to get inside it

hope this helps, i pierced my friends ear a few years ago and it worked great, i used a safety pin tho
Reply:You probably should have gotten it pierced at a licensed facility; it's much safer. I got mine pierced at Icing, a little accessory store in my local mall, and that's what im basing my answers off of.

Your piercing will probably be sore for a couple of weeks. To clean it, the boutique i went to had special cleaning solution. You can probably call around and ask for the best deal on that. DON'T take your earring out. That'll just hurt more. Take a fresh, clean Qtip, dip it into the solution, and swipe around the earring, carefully.

In the mornings, make sure your hands are clean before turning the earring. It is normal to hear that noise, because you ARE freeing skin from your earring. Your ear lobe is getting used to having something foreign in it.

And leave your earring in for a while, at least six weeks. Changing it too early can make it hurt longer, and it's also an infection risk.

Good luck! :)
Reply:No, thats is NOT normal. You really messed up.

Take it out before it gets any worse. Have you EVER had anything pierced before? Your breaking EVERY rule there is about piercing.

A tight back dosent allow for swelling, therefore damages your ear. You DONT take it out...

My god, please just take it out and go freakin claires (which still isnt good but for lobes its better than what you just did). It should NOT be sore. Ever. Perhaps jus a little bit when you sleep on it... but its only because you did a dumb thing. Please do it right next time. You can get that piercing at Claires for about 20$.

What is the most pain you've been in? Physically?

For me....It was when I had a second degree burn from the son on my back. It hurt like hell....probably because the nerve tissue was still alive so i could feel my skin burning from the inside out.

What is the most pain you've been in? Physically?
Now this is an interesting question, because I definitely have a "Most" moment for me. The most pain I've ever been in is when I got run over by a train while I was working for a railroad company, and drug down the track 187 feet, and lost my right leg. I was conscious during the entire event when my back was being skinned raw as I was being drug down the track, legs first, and on my back. Actually, the back skinning felt wonderful, like somebody was scratching my back, compared to the pain of having my right leg crushed under the railroad car's wheels. I also got my left ankle broken and a rib on my right side broken. But from that experience, I can pass on some wonderful advice. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER try to beat a train across the tracks!!! Although my accident happened while I was on foot, working on a train, I can tell you from the pain, and from the experience of being in the locomotive as we hit a car parked against the tracks once, we in the locomotive don't feel a thing!! Truly!! You, on the other hand, will feel hell like you could never imagine, and death would be an acceptable alternative to staying alive whilst being drug down the track on your back and watching your leg get torn off. The bone is truly white!! And the muscle tissue and blood is a BEAUTIFUL crimson red, but the show ain't worth the pain or disability. Please approach railroad tracks with the UTMOST caution. We truly have no desire to hurt or kill you, but sometimes people present us with no alternative. Drive with care. God Bless you.

Reply:I can think of two things that tie for being the most painful. The first one is the neck injury I sustained from a car accident. I have herniated discs and pinched nerves. Everytime I move my head I feel pain in my neck, shoulder, and right arm.

The second, was when I passed two kidney stones. My abdomen and back hurt so bad, I had to go to the ER and have IV pain killers and get a prescription for percoset.
Reply:giving birth... also, i once was cleaning my ears and i ruptured my ear drum. i could not, eat, move or sleep for about a week. there was nothing i could do about it. i went to go see the doctor and i had to wait two hours in the waiting room. i ended up fainting.

i did too once burn my finger. i was making macaroni and cheese for my son, and when i went to go drain the boiling water, i tripped and poured boiling water all over my hand. i have a huge scar on my index finger from it...

pain sucks.
Reply:burns do hurt like hell . . .my most painful experience would be landing on my face after being ejected from my bicycle. Dislocated Jaw (OW!) broken tooth, stitches in my chin and a chipped bone in my hand- what a mess. (and I was on vacation too!)
Reply:Emergency C-section. They couldn't put me completely under due to heart problems and the epidural wasn't placed correctly.

My parents said they heard my screams clear into the waiting room.
Reply:An IBS attack. That is by far THE worst pain ever. Cuz the pain just lingers and lingers. It has gotten to the point where I'm about to faint. Its burns so much.
Reply:Definitely a tooth ache
Reply:Has to be the period pains I used to get as a kid, or possibly my miscarriage (I didn't even know I was pregnant!)

In terms of injury though has to be slamming my finger in a car door! Ouch!

Xx~xX
Reply:shattering the bones in my lower leg or breaking my femur, both pretty painful
Reply:I've have two the time I broke my ribs and it hurt every time I breathed, and when a nerve was dieing in one of my my teeth.
Reply:mine would probably be when i got thrown up in cheerleading and not caught at all so i fell about 8 feet and tried to catch myself and hyperextended my arm... result i broke my wrist and fractured my arm in 7 places have had 5 surgeries. never been burnt that bad though

What could calcification on my rib bone mean? It was found in xray.?

I fell the other day a hit my rib cage badly. Even though I had alot of pain, I didn't have any marks or bruising on my skin where I fell. After a couple of days of pain, I decided to go to the Dr. She ordered an xray. I called and spoke with her today and she said that they did not see any broken ribs on the xray. However, she did say that they were sending it out to radiology for a second look because there were darkened areas on the ribs (both..not just the side I fell on) She called it calcification. What could this be!!?? I am freaking out right now! Please what are all the possibilities?! I am an otherwise healthy 35 year old. Thanks

It's usually nothing. Try not to worry about it.

Calcification is a process in which a mineral called calcium builds up in body tissue, causing the tissue to harden. This can be a normal or abnormal process.

Ninety-nine percent (99%) of calcium entering the body is deposited in bones and teeth. The remaining 1% of calcium is dissolved in the blood.

When a disorder affects the balance between calcium and other minerals or chemicals in the body, calcium can be deposited in other parts of the body, such as arteries, kidneys, lungs, and brain. Calcium deposits in these parts of the body can cause problems with how these blood vessels and organs work.

Will It Heal?

Hi,

I had a baby 41/2 months ago...

I had a second degree tear and a first degree tear and a graze.

The midwife said I tore because he was face up and he also came too fast so she didn't have time to help the skin streatch.

My scar still hurts sometimes is this normal?

Does it mean I'll tear with my next baby too?

Thanking you kindly!

Will It Heal?
It should get better, but if not, I would ask your midwife. Some people don't get stitched up right and it causes problems and pain. It doesn't necessarily mean you will tear with your next baby. I had a bad 2nd degree tear with my first and she stitched for for about 30 mintues. My 2nd one, I had 12 stitches. My 3rd one (was also 1 1/2 pounds larger than my first 2), I only had 2 stitches.
Reply:yahoo answers is not a doctor. you should ask one, though.
Reply:yes it will heal and when you tear that bad it will be sore for a while. that does not mean you will tear next time. i tore very bad with my first and hardly any with my second and third. infact it was such a small tear that they didn't have to sew it up and it took less time to recover.
Reply:it is a possibility that you can tear with you next baby. but every birth is different and next time it may go slower and they may be able to help the skin stretch
Reply:you will heal and be ok
Reply:I had second degree tears with my first child %26amp; 6 stiches - and my scar (or bump as I referred to it) hurt for about 6 months... and on occasion when I'd squat down to play with my daughter. It will eventually heal;o) My second daughter arrived a mere 14 1/2 months later and I did not tear at all with her... so I am an example that you are not destined to tear with your next child;o)
Reply:I'm not sure if you'll tear again, they're always the possibility that you will. Having said that, I tore the inside of me (I'm not completely positive how that happened exactly). But I also tore myself to the side. You have to take into consideration that it's a sensitive area that the baby is coming out of and any damage like that is going to take a long time to heal. My son is five months old and I'm still in pain sometimes.
Reply:I had a second degree tear and an episotomy with my first child. I had pain (while sitting mostly) for months after wards. This time around I found a better doctor, and my son was 2 pounds heavier than my daughter and I didn't tear at all and no episotomy. Of course, things can be different for different women, but one thing that helps prevent tearing is to massage your perineum starting at week 34.
Reply:I had a 2nd degree tear when my son was born 7 months ago. It was just in the last month or 1 1/2 months that it stopped hurting. Hopefully you will be completely healed soon! There's not really any way of telling in advance whether you'll tear with your next baby. I worry about that sometimes - it sure isn't pleasant! I've heard that taking vitamin C through your pregnacy might help prevent tearing by helping your skin stretch.

Top layer colour?

I have naturally dark brown hair, fair pale skin and blue eyes...I want to colour my hair (done by a professional lol) so the top layer is a honey, golden brown (or very, very dark blonde) and let my natural colour show underneath the top layer... 2 things : first, can anyone help me find a pic of this style? I've searched loads on here but haven't come up with much, second, is this even achievable? can the stylist get my dark brown hair to this colour? (using bleach I guess) but I have alot of natural red undertones, can this be done without turning my hair orange? thanks for any help.

p.s. if you have similar hair to this and would like to share a pic, that would be great.

Top layer colour?
yess!

thats what i have.

i know exactly what you mean.

and yess, i know how to find a pic of it.

ashley tisdale has that kind of hair.

but i think she has it lighter than you want it.

but the bottom is dark, [her natural color] and the top is light. [highlights.]

i have that too.

its called partial highlights.

and no, it wont turn your hair orange.

is what they do is the parts that you want highlighted, they paint a hair bleacher on it, then they dry that so that those pieces no longer have your natural color.

then put the toner of the color you want, and wa-la!

you have your partial highlights!

thats what it is called, i had to ask my hair stylist about that.

and since she is a pro stylist, i would say she knows what she is talking about.

it can get pretty pricey though.

any where from $69-$139
Reply:you are right it is really hard tro finf a pic i think what you should do though if you want atop layer blond without looking red is dye all your hair blonde then dye the under layers dark again also for pics try looking in magizenes

Pill...period no pill no period what would you do?

ok i had my son a year ago and it took me 8 months to get a period and that was going on the pill. so the pill made it so i got a period on my second pack of pills right at the end my fiance and i decided to get off the pill and try again so my son was almost 10 months. but when i got off the pill i havent gotten a period. its been 4 months since i had a normal period. we really want to have another baby. i have all signs of ovulating but just no period. now ive been having cramps everytime my period is due and the skin around my stomach is sore to the touch but all ive been getting is neg tests and im not growing. its not off to one side either its like period cramps right in the middle under the belly button. ive been feeling really nauseated and tired and sore back and discharge all the signs i would be pregnant but im not getting bigger or a positive. but i really want another child. so should i go on the pill to get a period and not get pregnant or should i stay off and keep...

Pill...period no pill no period what would you do?
You should really go and see your doctor. It is possible you are having some hormone problems. I had a similar situation years ago before our daughter was born. Absence of periods should be checked out unless you are of menopause age.

As for the pill question, birth control pills suppress ovulation. If you want children, taking them isn't a good idea. Stay off the pill and see your doctor.

Tanning? only once~?

ok I looked up tanning beds on yahoo image and the second pic was of a HORRIBLE(not enough to describe it) burned hand~ and then the article had pics that made my knees shake~

so I was wondering~ how bad would it be if I only try tanning once and once only~

a tanning bed? and um would I get skin cancer? plz help!

Tanning? only once~?
Even once increases your chance of getting skin cancer. 1 in 4 people will get skin cancer in their life times. Pretty scary huh?

In tanning beds the UV rays release Endorphins which seep into your body which makes you addicted to them. One time might not seem like much, but then you will want to go again and again and again. Don't go. I have fair skin but i use jergans and it makes me have a nice glow and it's not orangey or streaky.
Reply:Well going to a tanning bed once wouldnt give you much color, not enough to notice it anyway....I wouldnt recommend going at all.

Instead, try a sunless tanner.
Reply:take it off
Reply:dude, once is harmless. the person who works at the tanning place will no way let you go for that long.
Reply:Well, it wouldn't be an entirely isolated event because it will add to all over UV exposure in your life. It's not worth it.. don't do it.
Reply:DON'T TRY IT... if you even do one you will get addicted.. so DO NOT TRY IT!!!
Reply:I don't think you get skin cancer from going once. My sister goes all the time and her skin is fine. But, I'm not an expert.
Reply:ok... my mom owns a spa they do spray tans and it matches up with your skin tone and you cant get burned... i wouldnt suggest tanning beds my sister went and she was total burnt and then her doctor said not to do it again cuz it can ruin your skin... so i would go with spray tans from a salon/spa... and with spray tans you can go like 2 times a week... you dont put any make up or mostirizes on the day of the tan or the night before

i hope i helped =]
Reply:Tanning one time would not be worth the time or money. Tanning takes time to develop and if you end up going to a tanning salon, make sure to start out with a very short time 5-8 min especially if you go late in the day - the beds will be hot. Tan every other day for about 2 weeks and then increase your time 1-2 minutes every other session. Tanning beds can be very safe if done correctly and sensibly. If you turn pink, do not go back for at least 48 hours, and decrease your time a little. A good tanning salon will not let you overdo it due to the high cost of tanning salon insurance. Ask a lot of questions, and make sure you let the salon know if you are taking any photosensitive drugs as you can burn.

Good luck and do not be scared.
Reply:The tanning bed has a lot of IR and UVA rays those are bad or the skin so I recommend tanning lotions, aveeno has a good one that let you choose the level of tanning, and wont harm your skin
Reply:no you wouldnt only if you do it in the sun and do it sparingly because if tanning was deadly than hollywood would be gone. if you are that scared get a spray on tan!
Reply:You are not going to get cancer from one visit.

It is possible to burn just depends on your skin and the length of time you lay. I tan myself indoors and out it is your choice.

Take a look at the link. It's your choice in who and what you want to believe!
Reply:Using a tanning bed once is very harmless. Although I would have to admitt there very relaxing and you'll most likely get hooked (I did!) But using it more than a couple of times does put you at risk of developing skin cancer. I've been tanning since I was 14. And dont have it yet but whos to say I will develop it later in life. Plus you must check out the local tanning place find one that is very sanitary and trusty. And if they dont provide you with a baking timer bring one your self and set it! Good Luk my TANNING friend!!!
Reply:tanning only once won't tan you... burning happens from over expossure ( people in a hurry to tan) you should start at 5 minutes every other day (if you are fair skin and burn) after a week try it for 6 minutes every day.. if you tan easilly start at 6 minutes every day and gradualy work your way up every other day to keep the tan...(never tan more often than 24 hours)
