Rainy day for a party, what should i wear?

Hi everyone. Soo it's my best friend's birthday on Friday and I'm going up to meet her. The only thing is, it's raining in California and I have no idea what to wear! First things first, I straighten my hair so I'd like some way to protect it :) Second, I'll describe myself to you. I'm 5'6 and 19, female, and I'm Indian so I have light brown skin with a bit of a yellow undertone. I'm hesitant to bring a coat seeing the party is at someones house I don't even know and I doubt I'll be wearing it the whole time. If you guys have any suggestions, let me know! We may just put all of our stuff in my friend's car. Thanks in advance and I'd appreciate links to the outfits! I love polyvore (the website), american eagle, and basically anything cute. If I can find it at the local mall, it'll be great. Thanks in advance everyone! :D

and for the hair problem you can get a really cute umbrella!


i love the rain because when else do you get to use umbrellas and wear weirdly colored boots!
Reply:leather high heel ankle boots, capri or ankle leggings with a baby doll shirt or trench coat shirt with a belt or tie waist. Do up your accessories. Lots of bangles or chunky jewelry. Maybe go ethnic with your jewelry accessories. Roll up the sleeves on the trench coat style shirt and go for it on wrist jewelry and some adorable earrings, big... since your hair will be down. Let your flowing hair be your neck accessory.
Reply:Umbrellas are great, but, I would wear my hair down and straight but, if it gets frizzy or wavy in the rain keep a hair tie on hand (just in case) then you have a back up hair do (in a cute pony tail)... For the outfit, it would depend on the kind of party it is...
