Is 3 months too long to wait for a biopsy?

I was told by my doctor yesterday that I have areas of my skin that need to be biopsied. She said she'll do it in three months which seems like a long time to wait. Is three months too long? and should I just get a second opinion?

Yes, it is too long..Something like that should be done right away..IVe had them done, and always within a week...Anything the doc says looks suspicious, or feels suspicious and they want to biopsy, then time in on your side to catch whatever early...Its probably nothing, as mine were..Ive had 3 now..Get a different doctor..I would guess may be this is a Kaiser Doc? They tend to wait as long as they can.
