Can a person approach a strange hybrid wolf that has not been humanized without being attacked?

Years ago people said that I was strange because I could approach hybrid wolves with out being attacked. I've approached two in my life and the result was always the same - each one approached me in a very submissive manner, and the second one who had more wolf in him even gave me the love bite. That's when a dog takes your hand in his mouth and holds it for a period, but he does not pierce the skin. I remember that his owner just shook his head threw his hands up in despair, untied him and after that we were practically inseperable. I thought nothing of it, until years later I heard different accounts of the same hybrid. One girl was claimed to have approached him only to get her hand almost torn off. Then there was this one man who tried approaching him and for his effort almost got his throat ripped out.

The funny thing is I didn't even know the farmer even had a dog, because I didn't see one and the next day I had this sudden urge to go out side, so I did.

I've approached an acquaintances wolf hybrid dog. Supposedly he's a guard dog and nobody can get near him. He actually licked me! It was the most wonderful experience because at the time I was just becoming aware of my ability to approach frightened dogs and work with them. I think they have a very powerful sixth sense and know how much we love them. I'm sure love has an energy just like hate, so they can probably pick that up. I try to communicate with them telepathically because I've heard of people who can do that. I'm not sure yet if I can or not but I'm going to keep trying.
Reply:Personally, i wouldn't try it!!! But my friend owns a farm and has seen them around evry now and then, she says they are alot friendlier than ppl giv them credit for.
Reply:dont approach from above (they consider that as you challenging them and wanting them to be your ******, so to speak), better to stay in one place at their eye level and let them come to you, they will approach go away, approach a little closer, go away, they'll do that many times. eventually they will get next to you, if you then reach up to pet them it will freak them, out, you should wait until they start nudging you then go for petting mid of back. avoid the face, belly, and rear until they are more comfortable
Reply:The wolf breed is untrusted buy most people why I don't know. they are a very beautiful animal and very loyal and most of the time a little leery of people but if you let them take their own time they will come around and be a very good friend. Several years ago I had a half wolf and golden retriever supposedly. She got ran over one morning. When I got to the vets an I told her some of the things that she did well the one thing that she did three days before she died to my shock the vet told me that my Robyn was part coyote that the coyote was the only K9 that had that particular trait. She liked most everyone there wasn't but three or four that she did not like or trust. The man man that the wolf did not take to well there had to be something about him that was untrustworthy or he was a little afraid and the wolf could smell it. All animals and smell the slightest bit of fear the person may not even realize that their afraid but an animal can especially a K9.
