Is this Heat rash On my Chest? (Picture)?

I went for my second tan yesterday for about 10 minutes, my last and first tan was in december. This time when I tanned I found bumpy red spots on my chest, i asked my mom what it might be and she told me heatrash. I asked her what to do for it and she suggested waiting it off, using calamin lotion(i think thats how it spelt), and wearing lose shirts.

Heres a picture of my chest:

Is this heat rash? What can I do to heal, and get rid of it? What can I do to prevent it next time? Thanks a lot everyone.

For the people that are just going to say don't tan, because of skin cancer, guess what? I already know, please don't repeat something that doesn't need to be reapeated.

you m ay need a lotion without hemp in it. My daughter breaks out like that from the hemp in her tanning lotion. I would suggest taking Benedryl for allergic reactions, it can be purchased at any pharmacy and it will go away in a couple of days, and try not using the lotion or tanning for a few days and see if it clears up.
Reply:Heat rash or contact dermititus. Dry it out with medicated baby powder.
Reply:It does look like a brutal heat rash. Have a cool shower, then just try to leave your shirt off if possible it should go away soon. If you used some type of oil or something it could be an allergic reaction as well, it will go away on it's own.
Reply:Do you shave your chest at all because it could be a shavers rash, but if you don't shave then yes it could be a heat rash where you have got hot a sweaty and not had a shower straight away!

Email me if you need to!!
Reply:it could be a heat rash. theres really no way of preventing it unless you stop taking hot showers, tanning, excessive sweating..etc. which isn't possible. a heat rash is nothing to be worried about you dont have to see a doctor about it. you can put calamine lotion on it but it should go away with in an hour or so..depends on how sensitive your skin is. you can put some ice on it, which will help the itching or use a cortizone cream for the itch... also ice helps. if its not even itchy just put some lotion specialized for sensitive skin, possibly without a scent to irritate it less.
Reply:Heat rash.

If it gets worse or doesn't seem to get better, change lotions, use baby powder, or contact your dermatologist. :)
Reply:Since you were lying in a tanning bed, you were laying in your own sweat, so it probably is heat rash. Lets hope it isn't some kind of fungus. Some of those tanning beds don't get cleaned as well as they should. Go to Wal-Mart or a pharmacy and look for a product called Bactine. It is a pump spray. White bottle with green lettering. Cost about $5. It will numb your itching and also keep things from getting infected. If this doesn't go away in a couple of days or gets worse, please see your doctor.
Reply:Did you put on a lotion before getting in the bed? To me it looks more like a contact dermatitis. The heat rashes I have seen the bumps are tiny. Try taking benadryl Oral . Read the package for the right dose and take a cool shower to rinse off.
