Firefox problems?

Hey. I have two problems with FF that I'd appreciate some help with.

First of all, since this morning, whenever I close Firefox, my skin settings seem to reset. For example, I use small icons with text, and my bar consists of home, refresh, history, bookmarks, and downloads. However, when I close and open firefox, it uses big icons with no text, and only home, refresh, and stop, so I have to re-customize.

Second of all, my history's locked. I can't delete anything in it.

Thanks in advance.

Note: I've already re-installed. Twice.

Update your antivirus and run a full scan in safe mode

If you do not have full time (active) virus protection install (only one) all are excellent:

AVG Antivirus 7.5 Free Edition

or

Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition

or

AOL Active Virus Shield

--------------------------------------...

Install Windows Defender (full time spyware protection)

Perform a full scan.

--------------------------------------...

Install the following five programs and run weekly or at least monthly. You need all five. They will greatly increase your protection. They are not a substitute for full time spyware and virus protection.

Ad-Aware SE Personal (update + full scan)

Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy (update + immunize + scan)

CCleaner: Do not install toolbar option

In options.

Set to run when computer starts.

Place cookies you want to keep in save list

http://www.ccleaner.com/

--------------------------------------...

Note if a scan detects a problem but is unable to remove, start the computer in safe mode with the internet line disconnected and run a full scan.

In severe cases your system restore files will also be infected. In these cases you will need to turn off system restore to prevent malware hiding in the system restore files and reinfecting the computer during removal or during a future system restore. Turning off system restore deletes the system restore files.

Right click on "my computer"%26gt; Properties %26gt; System Restore Tab %26gt; Check box turn off system restore

After the malware is removed turn on system restore.

Reply:I thought Firefox had 0 problems. I guess not. I'm proud to use IE7. Report It

Reply:Run a virus, adware and spyware scan. If you don't have any of these applications, see below.
Reply:run a spyware check. if you're not on your computer's administrative account, that may also be the problem.
Reply:yeah check for spyware and crap, also make sure you install on an administrative account or you might not be able to modify firefox (since you wouldn't have permissions)
