ZITs!!! HATE THEM!?
Hi, there. I am SO sorry to hear about your experience with the Clearasil product! Many of the OTC acne treatments are much too harsh and do indeed burn the skin. To help calm things down right now, use aloe vera gel on your face 3-5 times per day. That will help reduce the redness and will help the peeling go away. If you have some, adding a few drops of Lavender essential oil and/or Tea Tree essential oil to a dollop of aloe vera gel will help the area heal much faster and will help keep the zits away.

Once your skin heals, use a gentle exfoliating wash every morning and then dab Witch Hazel all over your face to further cleanse the pores and to close them. A simple exfoliating wash can be made using a gentle, chemical-free soap and a mild abrasive such as chopped oats, sesame seeds, green tea grounds (great for the skin!), etc. At night, wash face again and use Witch Hazel as a toner. You will see a difference in your skin within 2 weeks using this regimen. I wish you the best of luck!
Reply:try proactive, it worked for me
Reply:I was my face every day, and use this stuff called witch hazel. it really helps my skin. at night i put moisturizer on, and that should help your peeling and burning.
Reply:Wash ur face AMAZING every morning with soap. They sell these pads with Alcohol on it with burns the zits away with no scar or burn marks (but it hurts) for the burn mark i really done know.. sorry
Reply:Sounds like the Clearasil dried you out. Try not to pop zits at all, but if you do, dab rubbing alcohol on them. (it kills bacteria without drying you out)
Reply:Use a gentle moisturizer and use a more gentle way to cleanse your skin. Don't use anything on your skin until the redness thing has cleared. it will take a week or more. The same thing has happened to me. And when the redness has cleared apply some tea tree oil or toothpaste or something to dry the spot out.

Don't get any of the the spot treatments and cleansers like Clearasil because they are crap and they rip you off honestly all they do is dry your skin out. I've used them so many in all the brands and they don't work.

Use cleansing wipes like Nivea because they are more gentle with the skin and work brilliantly and use a cleansing mask once a week. as well they're good too as they get rid off the dirt and stuff that cause spots
Reply:I hate them too!!! I am 34 and still have them. I have really bad problems with them and I cannot afford ProActive, however, that stuff is a miracle for acne.

I have kept mine down by washing my face with safeguard soap. Using stridex cleansing pads and always make sure that you squeeze them. I'm serious, alot of ppl dont believe that you should, but I have found that they will heal much quicker that way. I have cystic acne which is the worse kind of all and sometimes I just dont even want to go out. Also, you need to make sure that your using a water based foundation not oil based. Wash your face real good at night and in the morning. Stay away from putting lotions on your face. Also drinking plenty of water seems to help me, so you might want to try that. Another thing is to go to the tanning bed. It will either make them worse or make it much better.
Reply:So it sounds like the clearasil dried your skin out. Are the zits on your chin or around your chin area? If so that means that it is a hormonal effect. Do you have normal, oily, or dry skin naturally? oily skin is best with witch hazel (whenever it seems too oily) and a clay mask once a week. Dry skin is good with gel masks, and a good moisture lotion-made for a face-not hand lotion. NEVER use those clearasil pads or stride pads, they are made up of mostly rubbing alcohol which makes the face feel tight and clean, but its really just drying it out badly. And try not to do to much to your skin...dont try a bunch of products and be constantly putting stuff on your face. watch the make up too!! hopes this helps :)
Reply:PRO-ACTIVE- trust me it works
